20 Things All Cardiff University Students Will Understand
17. Getting Drawn Into The Rugby
It doesn't matter if you've had no interest in the sport in the past. It doesn't matter if you've supported another team for half your life. By the time the Six Nations final rolls around, you will be an avid follower of the Welsh team. This will often mean arriving at pubs on match day at least an hour before kick off in the hopes of getting a spot where you can watch the game, or spending all day in your mate's flat with the blinds drawn. You will spend most of the day trying to disguise your English accent from the locals. You will also have developed a little bit of a crush on at least one player, regardless of your gender, orientation, or the number of teeth he has.
With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
