20 Things That Make You Positively British

Warning: may contain stereotypes.

Being British is something that you're proud to admit, and you'd rather call yourself British than Scottish or English because you like to be a part of the bigger team. There are many stereotypes associated with what it is to be British and these traits are recognised world wide, mainly the massive horse teeth and impeccable manners that we all seem to have; in fact, we're quite similar to the Canadians in that respect. There are endless debates that all Brits will take part in; is the chocolate on the digestive the top or the bottom of the biscuit? How many hobnobs are too many hobnobs? Will anyone ever compare to the beautiful Princess Diana? Probably not. However, there are two sides to the everyday Brit and there is never really an in between. On one side, you have the respectable aristocrat with a love of tweed and on the other, you have the tracksuit wearing Scheme participant. So what does it really mean to be British? Regardless of the outcome, you're proud of your little island that has produced the greatest things in your life: Harry Potter, The Lord Of The Rings, the Spice Girls, David Beckham in his underwear and Greggs, all which have taken the world by storm and rightly so. But watch out for the look of horror on everyone's face when you tell them that you're British and you can't remember the last time you had a scone or afternoon tea.
