If there's one thing that a Brit can do right, it's showing people what it is to be polite. Even when you're being genuine by saying "oh yeah, that's great" you find it a bit disingenuous because you always sounds like you're being sarcastic, and you're not. You'll apologise to someone who bumps into you in the street and you'll say sorry to someone who asks you for a light when you don't even smoke because you think it's a disgusting habit.
