20 Tragically Unexpected Truths You Learn In Your Twenties
2. Your Job Doesn't Define You
Having an incredibly well-paying and enjoyable job doesn't define you, just like being unemployed doesn't. These are contributors to how you behave, making certain lifestyles more easily accessible, but they don't enable you to completely change your character. More important than the job you're in and the success you've achieved are the friendships you nurture, and the way you treat other people - even the way you treat other animals. Basically, if your an ass with a good job, nobody is going to give a shi*t, whereas if you're likable with no job, you'll be far better off in the long run.
