2. Tsukimi Burger
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xu0dq02l4nE Similar to the Tamago Mac, the Tsukimi Burger is another hamburger with bacon and a fried egg added on top with a ketchup/Japanese mayo blend. The yolk of the egg is meant to symbolize a bright, full autumn moon, making this dish something of a seasonal offering. Last year, however, McDonald's Japan is expanding the line to include three other sandwiches: The Big Tsukimi Burger, the Cheese Tsukimi Burger, and the Chicken Cheese Tsukimi Burger. The Big Tsukimi Burger is much the same as the original, but with a Quarter Pounder patty used instead. Meanwhile, the Cheese Tsukimi Burger simply adds cheese, whereas the Chicken Cheese Tsukimi Burger changes the dynamic a bit with the replacement of the beef patty. The long and the short of it is that eggs on burgers and other sandwiches sounds appetizing, and as noted with the Mc10:35 in the last entry, people outside of Japan are doing it already, so why shouldn't they capitalize on it? It's not as though it requires anything they aren't already using, save for a new sauce (and they might even be able to get away with just using normal condiments).
