You would spend hours taking care of and keeping an eye on your little electronic pet - whether it was a dog, cat, chicken, duck, snake or whatever else the makers came up with to keep you buying more. Nothing was more annoying that when it died - especially if it seemed happy and healthy just a few minutes prior and even more so when it had been alive for months.
