Actually it's probably not that surprising as the advert the above image belongs to was soon cancelled from being broadcast by the company themselves. Twitter users had called the advert 'sexist', 'misogynistic' and 'sizeist.'

Subway commented in their defence; "We understand that some people may not have picked up on the intended humour in our Halloween commercial. Our objective was certainly not to offend anyone."
