The best feeling in the world about getting a brand new book was when you got to write on the very first page. That one page was completely sacred and if you made any sort of mistake, it would haunt your dreams and you'd normally rip it out and start it again. It was a miracle that these blue and white bad boys came about so you could get rid of a few mistakes, except you were too eager to write again that it hadn't dried properly and your paper became all furry.
