1. ...But Being Overwhelmingly Glad That You Come From Cheshire At All

The oddities and general banality of a lot of Cheshire life can make you feel pretty ambivalent towards it on the whole, but as soon as you move away, you realise how great it is: the rolling plains and seemingly endless countryside to explore; a vast and genuinely fascinating history from the Romans, to the Tudors, the Civil War and beyond; a sense of ancientness and along with the feeling that Cheshire had always been the same, and would always be the same, no matter what. Best of all, you'd always the sense that in Cheshire you'd got the best of both worlds. You've the urbane, forward-thinking glamour of East Cheshire, plus access to two of the best cities in Europe, and you're able to get to some of the England's most sumptuous countryside within two shakes of a lamb's tail. There's also a lot of satisfaction to be gained in knowing that you totally get a part of the country which is a mystery to a lot of people. You're part of the Cheshire Set as a birthright.
