6. An Artist's "Nosy" Joke Led To Two Modern Myths

In 1997, artist Rick Buckley decided to install 35 copies of his nose on landmark buildings in central London. He put up the noses as a protest against the widespread use of closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance cameras, but he didn't tell people what he was doing.

Over time, various urban myths arose to try and explain the odd nasal additions to these buildings. Most famously, the story of the Seven Noses of Soho claimed that people who found all seven in the Soho area would be wealthy forevermore.

Now, only 10 of these noses remain. However, they are not the only body part stuck on the outside of famous London structures...
