Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are back for the first time since 2008's so-so film X-Files: I Want to Believe for a six-part mini-series which is hoping to, much like Fox's 24 revival back in 2014, prove that the fan-base hasn't gone anywhere and is still hungry for more. The show's first episode was aired at New York Comic Con back in October to mixed-positive reviews, so while it's probably best not to expect some of the series' best-ever work, the indelible chemistry between Duchovny and Anderson should make it eminently watchable at the very least. And let's face it, the nostalgia goggles are going to be working overtime anyway. If it's half-way decent, that'll be enough.
