34 Everyday Encounters That Will Always Be Excruciatingly Awkward
15. Asking People In The Store If They Work There
Whenever you go into a store and see someone wearing a suit, many of you automatically assume that this person is the manager and they belong there. There are others who are just good at shopping and look like they know what they're doing whilst many members of the general public just don't think about what they're wearing before they go somewhere - if you're wearing a cap and a polo shirt inside a cinema, you're going to assume that they work there because no one can pull that outfit off, not even the employees. Inevitably, you're going to summon up the courage to go and ask someone for a different size and they look at you like you're obtuse because they don't work there. This is nowhere near as bad as approaching someone in uniform with a name badge on and asking them if they work there - they don't wear that sh*t for fun you know.
