Earlier this week the Tokyo Disney Resort announced that some big changes would be coming to both of its parks by 2020.

In Tokyo Disneyland, guests will be able to visit a newly expanded Fantasyland that will extend further into Tomorrowland, meaning the closure of current rides. The expanded area will bring to life the story of Beauty and the Beast, along with a new theatre.

Toontown is set to get a entirely new meet and greet area as Minnie Mouse becomes a fashion designer. Despite some attraction closures, Tomorrowland is also getting a new ride based on everyones favourite healthcare assistant, Baymax.

Developments aren€™t just coming to Disneyland; Tokyo DisneySea will also be getting a new ride. Guests will be soon be heading to DisneySea in order to fly across the world.

The Oriental Land Co., Ltd which runs the Disney parks in Tokyo appear to be investing around 93 billion yen (about £600 million) into these improvements. To put that in perspective Walt Disney World's New Fantasyland was estimated to have cost around £292 million. A big budget is going to be needed to deliver all these new attractions.

With five different things coming in the next 4 years, Tokyo will soon be the place to be for any Disney fan. Lets take a look at some of the exciting things that are coming to Tokyo Disney Resort.
