5 Social Media Sins That Are Committed Every Day
4. Relationships Dont let the title scare you; Im not some lunatic loner who opposes all form of human contact, Im actually in a relationship myself, and somehow, I manage to not post everything we do together on the internet. I just dont know how I manage it. Relationships pose several problems on social media, the first being, as I just mentioned, the people who use Facebook and Twitter as relationship diaries. Just to advise, if theyve just come out with something stupid and you want to poke fun at them, yes, I would probably like to read that, but if youre putting something like having a cosy night in with a film and pizza with the boyf 3, then please stop yourself; I dont care. Secondly, telling your other half you love them so that everyone else can see, by posting it on their wall or by tweeting them, again, this is a big no. Drop them a text, inbox them, maybe even actually tell them over the phone or god forbid, to their face, but please, keep it off social media; its not romantic. My third point is that trying to justify your relationship when youve been with someone about a day by using phrases like the strength of a relationship is not how long youve been together but the bond you feel with each other and we dont even care what you think. Firstly, whilst that probably is true to some extent, you have to have been with someone longer than you have to feel that bond, and secondly, yes, you obviously do care, or you wouldve just kept quiet. You may think Ive covered everything, unfortunately not, the worst social media relationship crime is this: relationship videos. Seriously, your cute videos are just stupid, and you will probably look back when youre 40 and think the same, so before you do it, DONT.
