At D23 last July, Disney announced that one of Disneyland's hotels would be getting a "super" makeover. The New York hotel will soon be taken over by Marvel.

Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel will transform the existing hotel with a Marvel themed "reimagination". Rather than it being an in-your-face design, the new theming will be that of a modern New York hotel, with Marvel art pieces.

Concept art shows that the lobby will contain some props from the Avengers themselves, such as Iron Man's suits, Captain America's Shield and Thor's Hammer. Rooms will have a modern, sleek look with art featuring the heroes on the walls.

No official word on when exactly on when Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel will be open, but rumours suggest 2020.
