7 Harry Potter Characters Sorted Into The Wrong Hogwarts House
1. Albus Dumbledore Should Be Slytherin
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the only wizard Voldemort ever feared, should not have been a Gryffindor.
Though Dumbledore was certainly bold, making his exits with Phoenix flames and shouting "SILENCE!" at the great hall, his defining qualities all fall under the umbrella of Slytherin. From a young age, he was always ambitious and cunning. How else do you think he became Headmaster of Hogwarts?
Even in his older years, Dumbledore pulls the strings of the entire Wizarding World. He manipulates Harry in order to defeat Voldemort, keeping many secrets and lies from him, and has the best laid plan imaginable to do so.
However, unlike Voldemort, Dumbledore uses his ambition and cunning for good. The books do a terrible job of showing that "not all Slytherins are bad," so putting Dumbledore, the goodest good guy of them all, in Slytherin would have helped illustrate that point.
