7 Least Explored Places On Earth

6. Krubera Cave - The World's Deepest Cave

Krubera Cave is thought to be the deepest cave in the world. How deep, we can't be sure, but we have so far managed to explore to a depth of 2,197 metres. It's located in the in the Gagra district of Abkhazia, and many have tried to push the frontier a little further and further, but expeditions are hampered by tight tunnels, flooded passages and steep drops, not to mention cave ins and mudslides. Plus, you know, the ever increasing chance of coming across an ancient race of mole people who are hungry for man flesh (an eventuality that has so far been avoided). In fact , the cave is so deep and isolated that there are some species living down there that are only found in certain chambers of the cave system. In lieu of an ancient race of mole people, the cave's inhabitants are generally of the small and scuttly variety. Deep, cramped cave full of mud, freezing water and crawling with spiders? It's a wonder no one has explored it.
