5. (Hyper)Focusing On Things That Interest You
Lets say you have a fascination with painting. Once you start, your mind drifts off into a sort of happy place (known as hyper-focus) and you can completely lose track of time and reality. You could be busy painting for hours, determined to get the painting done, not realizing just how long it would take you. Next thing you know, 6 hours have passed: the cat hasn't been fed, the washing is outside in the rain and you have 5 missed calls from your mom on your cell. You feel guilty and apologize to everyone who will listen, but sometimes they just shrug you off, because you seem to not care about anyone but yourself, after all.
