Even disregarding the thorny issues of p-hacking, fraudulent studies, the media machine and personal biases, the fact of the matter is that most people are wrong about at least something most of the time. It's just the law of averages and something known as the Overconfidence Effect

The feeling of "I am generally correct in my beliefs, and people who disagree with me are incorrect" is a universal fallacy because if you are holding a contradictory view to another person, you have at least a 50% chance of being wrong. What's more, because in terms of "objective reality", there is only one way to be correct, but virtually infinite ways to be incorrect one any given topic, the chances of you being wrong are much higher.

The good news is that, because we are able to realise this about ourselves, we are given the opportunity to sort it out. The bad news is that most people don't due to the inescapable power of the many biases we all have.

Maybe just hang the sense of it at try to keep yourself busy?
