1. The Magic Of Christmas At Hogwarts Castle

The jewel in the crown for Universal's festive offerings is The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle.

Each evening a beautiful light and pyrotechnic display lights up Hogwarts with a truly magical score. The projections are incredibly impressive, the castle really does look like it is snow topped. My favourite section was when the Weasley twins took over the display to advertise their joke shop. There's carol singing ghosts, the Yule Ball and Mr Weasley's rogue Ford Anglia mowing down a number of snowmen.

The show takes place each night approximately every 20 minutes from dusk and it's worth waiting around (with a Hot Butterbeer of course) to watch the show when darkness has fully fallen. It's easier to see just how detailed the projections are once the sky is fully dark.

Last year the projection show proved popular, so if this is a must do for you, be prepared to get to Hogsmeade early.
