7. Driverless Taxis

First published in the American sci-fi magazine in the 1930s, Keller preempts the rise of the driverless car by a good 80 years or so.
In early 2016, it came to light that controversial transport company, Uber, were courting companies such as Audi and BMW for a slice of their driverless car action. With Uber responsible for bringing taxi tech up a notch, with their app-based system, driverless taxis could be next.
Driverless cars are by no means a new concept, with the UN assing legislation regarding them way back in 1968, but it is now that we are beginning to see the principle put into practice is a big way.
