8 Absolute Worst First World Problems

6. Burning Your Mouth Because You Ate Delicious Food Too Quickly/Weirdly

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry8gPOeXHYA There's so much choice nowadays when it comes to eating out or staying in. Too much choice some say, but that's a separate first world problem in itself. Thankfully we live in an age where most cities have numerous multicultural cuisine options and if you're in the mood for a certain type, then you needs can be met. However, sometimes our greedy Western appetites get the better of us. "Oh, god, it's been 6 hours since I ate Debra...and I only had a half a chicken from Nandos, without chips because I'm watching my carb intake". So we rush to the nearest restaurant or grab the ingredients from the supermarket. You might feel lightheaded, on the brink of collapse, imagining your blood sugar levels dropping, even though you don't have diabetes and you know this. Three of the worst culprits for temporary mouth destruction are pizzas, soups and Pringles. Although incapacitating you taste buds temporarily should never happen, pizzas and soups are more understandable than Pringles. There isn't a worse example of the way we have become with our obese snack craving society. Pringles are that delicious that you can find yourself comfortably eating through an entire packet in one siting. Perversely licking each one to soak up the flavour with your floppy mouth muscle. This is the same with hot soup and a scolding stray piece of pizza hitting the roof of your mouth. It will hurt for the next couple of days. Anything you consume with now have less taste to it, as your tongue heals from your licking onslaught the night before. Homo sapiens have always been able to eat, that is something rooted deep inside our genetics. It's about time we started to consume our food more responsibly.
