If you thought Kanye has a screw loose, get a load of Dave Grohl's odd ideas about HIV/AIDS.

The Foo Fighters frontman is part of a group of people who deny the link between HIV and AIDS, with some believing that HIV is simply a harmless passenger virus and some denying the existence of HIV altogether. Some attribute the symptom of HIV/AIDS to lifestyle, malnutrition, drug use or even the medications used to treat HIV themselves.

As well as being wrong, this conspiracy theory is just plain dangerous. Denialist and activist Christine Maggiore, who campaigned for HIV mothers to refuse antiretroviral drugs that prevent HIV transmission to children, lost her 3-year-old daughter to AIDS-related pneumonia in 2005, before dying of the same condition herself in 2008.

This is all contradicted by conclusive and well-established scientific evidence supporting the link, and successful treatment of the disease based on this knowledge, but Grohl has never recanted his claims and has even put on gigs to raise money for denialist causes.
