2. They Both Have Plucky Advisors, Sidekicks And Semi-Mute Supporters
Maleficents right-hand man is actually her pet raven, Diablo. He plays a similar role to the Queens raven from Snow White, but Diablo is far more useful. He proves to be more of a confidante and assistant to Maleficent than a lackey. Diablo is the one who successfully locates Princess Aurora after Maleficents team of dim-witted goons divulge that they were searching for a baby for the entire sixteen years. As you can imagine, this failed logic did not sit well with the Mistress of All Evil. Along the way, Daenerys has managed to accumulate her fair share of supporters. Jorah Mormont, an exiled knight and former head of House Mormont and Lord of Bear Island, has become Danys most trusted companion and advisor. Hes also the poster boy for being friend-zoned, so thats something. Missandei, a former Naathi slave, is Danys personal servant. Shes pretty much the Tina Fey to Danys Amy Poehler. Interestingly, Missandeis three brothers are among the Unsullied, an army of unquestionably loyal eunuch slave soldiers from Astapor that Dany now commands. She may be endorsing slavery, but at least Dany gave her crew of merry Unsullied the option of freedom before recruiting them for a perilous journey that would likely lead to their deaths. So, there's that.
