2. The Moon Is A Hologram

Forget the faked moon landings, there are those out there who reckon that the moon isn't even there at all. As you can CLEARLY SEE in the video above, the moon is flickering and wobbling around all over the place, just like holograms do. Apparently.

Crazy peopl - er - theorists differ in opinion as to exactly why the moon would need to be a hologram, and who exactly is projecting it. There are some who believe that it is actually hiding another kind of satellite, perhaps an actual moon or a space station, on which "The Government" perform all kinds of shady experiments that they simply couldn't do in their usual top-secret-desert-bases. Others believe that this is evidence that we're all living some kind of artificial Truman-esque existence and that the moon projection is just another part of the artifice. It could even have been put there by aliens, because of reasons.

If any of this were true, the depth of the cover up would be mind-bogglingly colossal. Literally anyone who has had any dealings with our big, grey friend would have to be hushed up.

Something hologram conspiracists don't tend to go into much detail about is how ancient civilisations managed to project a hologram of the moon up there before the invention of holograms. Considering that everyone from the ancient Chinese to William Shakespeare reference the moon at some point, it would either have to be one of the longest-running pranks in history, or the conspiracy involves the faking of millions of historical references to the moon.

Whatever it's hiding, it's pretty big to warrant all that. Either that or atmospheric turbulence could be distorting the image. But hey, what do I know? I'm just sheeple.
