"Selfies" and "Wefies" are all good and fine if you're using it on your blog, but just add professional photographs to your professional website or page. Having too many selfie on your website or page makes it seem like you don't have the time or money to spend on having "real" photos taken, which makes it look like you're not taking your modelling very seriously. There are a few exceptions to this rule though: Twitter and Instagram. Remember that tweeting a picture of yourself at a local event will gain you a lot more exposure and you might just meet some of those celebrities you've been tweeting (wink, wink).
