Another way you can spot a fresher a mile off - all their kitchen wear, bedding and a random pot plant are all from Ikea. It's a great place to buy a load of new household items at a pretty cheap price. The only downside - everyone has the same plates, spoons, tea towels. Which makes it pretty difficult if you're sticking to the 'I don't share my stuff' rule. It gets a bit easier when you move into a house with your best pals and every shares everything. Literally. But in first year your room will look like an Ikea advert and that giant blue Ikea bag will be seen all over your Halls on moving in day. It's a little haunting.
