When it comes to the brain, perceiving the world is a game of two halves.

You brain is split into two hemispheres, some even theorize that these two hemispheres are two different brains, working together, and each side of the brain controls the opposite side of the body, including vision and other stimulus processing

When one side of the brain is damaged by something like a stroke, some patients might begin to ignore half of their world, acting as though the left side of sensory space is nonexistent. They might only shave or apply make up to one half of their face, or leave half of the food on their plate or even, most bizarrely, only draw half of an object such as a clock face.

Treatment of the condition mostly consists of trying to draw the patient's attention across the central line and into the neglected side.
