We’ve all had a little look on google maps for our houses, our places of work, or those funny things on Twitter where they give you coordinates to see something weird. How many of us have been looking at something totally normal though, and accidentally found something very suspicious?

In 2019, an ex-resident of a housing development in Wellington, Florida was browsing their old digs when they noticed what appeared to be a car submerged in a body of water. Officers sent to check out the site found just what was shown in the picture: a very calcified car that appeared to have been in the water for many years.

They found skeletal remains inside the car, which were later identified as those of William Earl Molt, who had gone missing over twenty years earlier. It’s still unclear exactly how his car ended up there, but the mystery of what became of him when he never came home all those years ago is now solved.
