9 Most Popular Flat Earth Arguments, Debunked

8. Argument: Roads Are Flat

So, when you flick through building plans for infrastructure such as roads, canals and tunnels (like you do), then you will notice that there are a lot of straight lines involved - pretty suspicious, eh?

There argument here is that building on the curved surface on a spherical Earth should mean that it's pretty well impossible to build anything in a straight line without accounting for the curvature.

Now, we can clearly see from maps that, particularly in America, roads tend to follow strict, straight grid patterns, so how do round-earthers explain that if the ground isn't flat? Either surveyors, architects, cartographers and town planners are all in on the joke, or they're being brainwashed by their snooty "university educations".
