9. Someone Has Invented A Hoverboard... For Realsies This Time

With the excitement and subsequent disappointment that always surrounds hoverboard announcements, you can be forgiven for being tentatively cautious whenever someone claims to have cracked it.

Although, as per usual, this ArcaBoard is still a technology in its infancy, it does seem to be much more in line with what you might imagine a "proper" hoverboard to be. For a start, it actually hovers as opposed to those two-wheeled pretenders, and it doesn't required a magnetised track to work.

It currently has a max speed of 12.5 mph and can be controlled using your phone. Granted, you currently only get about 6 minutes of flight time out of the batteries, but we're getting there.
