The Nutrimatic Drinks Dispenser is yet another invention of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation designed to provide its users with drinks customised to their personal needs. It works my making "an instant but highly detailed examination of the subject's taste buds, a spectroscopic examination of the subject's metabolism and then sent tiny experimental signals down the neural pathways to the taste centres of the subject's brain to see what was likely to go down well". Unfortunately, after all that, it tends to usually produce a beverage "almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea."

So, we find ourselves in the world of custom nutrition or, more specifically, in the world of protein chugging gym bunnies. Vending machines by a company called Mitonics have been popping up in the foyers of gyms up and down the country. Users must simply add their fitness goal, weight and body fat percentage and the machine will throw something together that is perfectly tailored to their nutritional requirements (provided that those requirements are "Protein, STAT").

Coca Cola has also gotten in on the custom drinks game with its Coca Cola Freestyle project. These vending machines can mix up over 100 drink choices with custom flavours. After the thirsty user has inputted their all of their preferences, including a number of custom flavour injections, the machine will then dispense something that tastes almost, but not quite, entirely unlike Coke.
