Watch GiffGaff's Halloween Short Film On Everyday Horror
A solution to scarily restrictive mobile contracts
Following on from the second phase launch of their #heyyou video campaign, GiffGaff have put together a blood curdling House Of Horrors video to depict some of the biggest fears shared with them by their customers. These fears include the fashion nightmare of sandals witch socks, the cringing levelled at drawn out voice messages from you Mum, and the pinnacle of dread itself; the prospect of being tied in to a long term mobile contract with no escape! This innovative and quite wonderful short film which can be viewed above was directed by Ninian Doff. An acclaimed writer/director, Ninian is responsible for some of the most eye catching and distinctive music videos for artists such as Chemical Brothers and Kasabian, as well as a host of TV commercials for brands like EasyJet. Shot at a derelict grade 2 listed mansion within the grounds of Beckenham Place Park, the director made the following remarks of the project: I dont know why I hate and fear checking my voicemail, but I really do get stressed out when I see that alert coming up! This is what I loved when I read the list of giffgaff member fears - its really amusing, and relatable, to see the strange fears weve developed of supposedly normal and dull things in modern life. Then it was really funny to film these un-scary things with the same drama and tension you would film a scene with a knife wielding maniac or a blood-thirsty zombie". GiffGaff place themselves in the market as an alternative to these types of contracts. Offering flexible and competitively priced packages, giving customers the chance to pay for monthly bundles which can be changed cancelled or renewed on a monthly basis, with no tie in and with the aim of keeping the customer in control, and providing the opportunity switch whenever they want. Launched in November 2009 GiffGaff is recognised for their heavily customer centric approach, and innovative marketing and PR operations. Their approach to the mobile market has continued to be acknowledged since its inception, being named as the Best Mobile Virtual Network Operator at the Mobile Industry Awards in 2012, and the Which? Best Telecom Services Provider in 2014. Visit GiffGaff's YouTube channel to see more videos relating to their #heyyou campaign.
