Disneyland Paris Turns 25 - 10 Reasons You Need To Visit
7. Pirates Of The Caribbean
Another ride recently given an overhaul in Disneyland Paris' program of renewal is Pirates of the Caribbean.
After a 6 month closure, Pirates was adapted to include Captain Jack Sparrow. Audio animatronics of Jack were added, you can spot him peeking out of a barrel and in the treasure room.
Paris' version also includes an animatronic that isn't in any of the other parks. Captain Barbossa makes a ghostly appearance in the attraction with the skeletons towards the end of the ride.
The reopened ride is also the first of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride to include the updated auction scene. Now instead of the woman being auctioned as Brides, the townspeople are bringing their goods so the pirates can bid over them. The red haired lady still remains, but she is now a gun brandishing pirate herself.
The Blue Lagoon restaurant has also been rebranded. Now guests can dine at Captain Jack’s – Restaurant des Pirates. The restaurant still features a view out over the ride but now has a new menu. The story of the restaurant is that Captain Jack Sparrow won the eatery in a bet with its old proprietor Angelica Teach.
