Every Epic Rap Battles Of History Ranked

53. Sherlock Holmes Vs. Batman

Rappers: Peter (Batman) and Zach Sherwin (Holmes). The characters' sidekicks, Robin (Lloyd) and Dr Watson (Kyle Mooney) also participate in the battle.

This is a good season two battle, though far from the best.

The main issue here is Peter's incredibly annoying take on Batman and Peter would likely agree with this, since he's since expressed regret over this performance and this was also brought up in Nice Peter Vs. Epic Lloyd 2.

It's a shame really, since the rhymes are actually delightfully savage and the other actors do a good job, so this battle would rank higher if it wasn't for Peter's Batman.

The best part of the battle is perhaps the way Sherlock is shown to be planning out his final verse methodically in voiceover before delivering it (similarly to how Robert Downey Jr's Sherlock Holmes thinks in voiceover).

Best Line:

Sherlock: "I believe your parents' homicide is why you mask your face / You're shamed and humiliated and traumatized by the vast disgrace / Of watching like a passive waste as momma died and daddy was dispatched with haste! / You're a bats**t-crazy basket-case!"
