Every Stephen King Novel Ranked Worst To Best

31. From A Buick 8

Stephen King in It: Chapter Two
Scribner

Another of Stephen King's more underrated novels, From a Buick 8 is told from the perspective of numerous state troopers as they reveal the history of the strange, unused car that sits in their garage gathering dust. The Buick in question proves not to be a car, but a portal to another dimension.

A clever and beautifully written fantasy-horror, From a Buick 8 is told like a series of interwoven short stories, each effectively creepy, but in the end the novel falls flat thanks to its ambiguous and unresolved ending.
