6. The Scare Zones
If you thought the streets would give you some kind of escape from the horror then think again. Huge chunks of the park's walkways will be transformed into scare zones and filled with all kinds of characters galore. You may even see a familiar face or two.
At this year's event there will be 5 different scare zones, with two taking inspiration from classic horror characters.
Revenge of Chucky
Based on the latest release in the Child's Play franchise. The Revenge of Chucky scare zone will be a "festival of toys". Thanks to the original possessed doll, Chucky, your childhood toys have come to life and they are out for revenge.
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
This 80's cult favourite as been on the HHN team's wish-list for so long that this scare zone will almost certainly be out of this world! Located in an unusual area of the park, this will be a tight scare zone with the smell of cotton candy in the air. Just beware, the Klowns may use their ray guns and cocoon you inside giant pods of candy floss.
The Harvest
Located near the front of the park between Minion Mayhem and Shrek 4D, this scare zone will be set against the backdrop of an old barn. There will be "ominous objects and images from each haunted house". Of course this barn isn't empty, there's something in there and they are here to harvest flesh.
Twisted Tradition
Rotten pumpkins hang from the trees in the Central Park area as it's transformed into a rancid area of decaying flesh and fetid beings. This area is going to be pretty dark with nothing but " rotting jack o' lanterns to guide you".
Vamp 85: New Year's Eve
This is the much anticipated sequel to the 2016 scare zone Vamp 55. Set in the New York section of the park, it's New Year's Eve and some "fanged punks and big-haired vamps" have crashed the party. Get ready to see the ball drop every 20 minutes and let the deadly party begin.
