9. He Had One Leg Shorter Than The Other

Jfkportrait John F Kennedy was born with a medical defect that meant he had one leg shorter than the other. Because of this, he had to wear corrective shoes for much of his short life. His condition contributed to the chronic back pain he suffered from, forcing him to wear a back brace and, occasionally, but privately, crutches in order to cope. It has been reported in the past that the swimming pool at the White House was constantly heated to 90 degrees and JFK would swim regularly to ease the pain in his back.
