With the news that Joe Rogan has signed a deal with Spotify to make the JRE exclusive to its platform by the start of next year, speculation has already started mounting as to who might be the first guest featured.

Joe has always done a great job in bringing a varied cast of characters on the show covering almost the entire spectrum of public life, so fans can rest assured that the quality of guests will be just as interesting after the historic move is completed.

After all, if anything the quality of featurees has only improved as the show has gone on. In the last couple of years while familiar guests still have regular episodes, Rogan has also brought in some legitimate A-list celebrities such as Robert Downey Jr, Kevin Hart, and Elon Musk.

In order to get the ball rolling on the new platform Joe will need to blend the old with the new, bringing in a mix of returning favourites while also introducing his audience to some new faces. These guests would be perfect to hit the ground running, and mark the new era of the JRE on Spotify...

Joe Rogan has shown a strange affinity for professional wrestling over the years. Despite regularly ridiculing fellow comic Tony Hinchcliffe for his love of the soap opera in spandex, Rogan also wistfully reminisces of the days when he was a huge fan of the sport in the 1980s.

However, if more recent episodes are anything to go by, it appears Joe is starting to take a more favourable look at the life of a performer in the squared circle, with JRE episodes featuring DDP and Jake 'The Snake' Roberts arguably among some of the best in the show's history.

With that in mind, there would be no better guest to describe the intricacies of the wild world of simulated combat than WWE head honcho Vince McMahon. Vinny Mac has been averse to doing interviews outside of his own company in recent years, but if some of his earlier appearances on The Howard Stern Show are anything to go by, the WWE CEO has a seriously fascinating life away from the ring that it would be awesome to see him delve into on the JRE.
