LG Launch Cheaper 3D Glasses
LG dump active shutter 3D glasses for the cheaper passive format.
With 3D TV still seen as a "luxury" item rather than a must-have, LG have stepped up to offer consumers a cheaper way to consume 3D content. More specifically, LG have designed a set of 3D glasses which cost significantly less than their rivals... and, in their own words, means more people can enjoy 3D from their own homes. In addition to the cost of the glasses, LG are also boasting that their new range will provide an even wider viewing angle - something which has long since been seen as a potential barrier to mass-market success for the format.
