Mellon Educate Want To Ask "What The F**k Have You Done?"
The sands of time are running out.
All of us have sat around from time to time wondering what it is we're doing with our lives. While for some this can be born from a general frustration and a sense of unfulfillment with life as it is, for others it can be a simple wonderment in the hope of coming to the realisation that somewhere along the line we have made at least some good decisions, and contributed to society in a positive and meaningful way. To try and put in perspective just how much of our time on this earth many of us waste on pointless and fatuous tasks, Irish based charity Mellon Educate have teamed up with digital creative agency DARE to produce a hard hitting video campaign which you can watch above. The series of videos, voiced by Award-winning British actor Nathaniel Parker, look to highlight how we all fall victim to spending our, quite frankly, very precious time on distractions and tasks devoid of any real significance. Entitled "What the f**k have you done?" the videos are being used as a recruitment drive for volunteers to join the charity in helping to offer educational support for people in Africa. In what has become to be known as their 'Building Blitz' Mellon Educate will once be looking to build houses and schools for some of the most impoverished people, in some of the continent's poorest areas. Scheduled to take place in November 2016 they are calling on the generosity and selflessness of people like you and me, to take park and help continue their reputation of improving the lives and opportunities for deprived children and young people. Since developer & philanthropist Niall Mellon founded the charity in 2002, Mellon Educate have succeeded in helping to change the lives of 1000s of young people across Africa. To date their work has seen 25,000 volunteers build and provide new homes for over 125,000 homeless people, as well as establishing new schools and accommodation for thousands more. It goes without saying that this is a phenomenal achievement, but there is still plenty that can be done in the provision of homes and educational facilities, so that everyone is provided with the same opportunities that all us who are reading this are used to. If you want to get involved then please head on over to the Mellon Educate website to offer donation, or to sign up to be part of 2016's Building Blitz in Cape Town.
