Windows 10 Secrets You Need To Know About

10. You Can Unlock A 'Very High Quality' Setting For Xbox One Streaming

Xbox One Streaming is a great reason for gamers to upgrade to Windows 10, allowing them to stream Xbox One games to their PCs. That means you can fulfill that fantasy of playing Destiny on your PC, albeit without a keyboard and mouse for now. Until recently, the highest setting you could set the streaming quality to on Windows was 'high', but recently a group of plucky gamers found a way to turbo-charge this to 'very high'. To do this: In File Explorer, navigate to C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxApp_######\LocalState (the '#' symbols will just be random numbers on your PC). Right-click 'userconsoledata' then open it with Notepad Find the 'IsInternalPreview' value and change it from 'false' to 'true' The 'Very High' quality setting will now be available in Settings in your Xbox One app on Windows 10. Be warned, that if you mistype something in the Notepad file, then you may break the Xbox One app and have to reinstall it.
