10 Best Ever NBA Trades

7. Miami Heat - The Decision

Although many believe LeBron James' infamous move to Miami was simply a free agency signing, it technically was a trade - albeit one almost entirely engineered by The King. There's no question that James would never have been let go had he decided to stay in Cleveland, but with the Cavaliers forced to accept his decision to move to the Heat, they accepted four future draft picks in return - presumably with no trace of a smile on their faces. With Dwyane Wade already announcing his intention to extend his Heat contract, and power forward Chris Bosh coming in from the Toronto Raptors, the pieces were in place for an unbelievable dynasty. Things didn't quite pan out as predicted, with 'The Heatles' leading their team to just two championships (albeit in an impressive four years). This would probably have been regarded a greater success than it has been, were it not for the Heat's ludicrous 'welcoming party' for their three superstars, in which James smugly predicted over seven victorious seasons.
