10 Biggest Controversies In UFC History

1. Dana White, UFC President

Dana White is a walking controversy who seems to get gradually worse as time goes on and his ego expands. There€™s always some form of controversy surrounding the UFC€™s president. This is the man who regularly responds to €˜haters€™ on Twitter with quips such as €œf*@k you clown€ and €œlook at you with your 2 followers€. He is well known for having long standing arguments with his employees, as mentioned in a previous entry. Some of his more recent controversy has come from his views on Cristiane €˜Cyborg€™ Justino. As many people consider Cyborg the only real threat to Ronda Rousey€™s Bantamweight belt, they are keen to see the Brazilian drop down a weight class and fight Ronda in the UFC. Dana has other plans though. He€™s been known to bring up her failed drug test early in her career as a reason for not hiring her despite having rehired Josh Barnett who has failed an inordinate number of drugs tests. He has also advocated Ronda Rousey referring to Justino as an €œit€ and even said the woman looks like €œWanderlei Silva in a dress€ despite having reprimanded the aforementioned Matt Mitrione for making offensive comments about transgender fighter Fallon Fox. These are just a few things that come out of the president€™s mouth (littered with his trademark F-Bombs, of course) on a daily basis. While it is undeniable that White has helped transform the sport and made it what it is today, it has to be acknowledged that he is the most controversial figure in the world of MMA.
