10 Candidates For BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2012

3. Mo Farah (Athletics)

One of the nicest guys in sport. His charity work with the Mo Farah Foundation to help the poverty stricken in Somalia is proof of that. And the look on his face when he crossed the line to win the first of two gold medals is one of such utter joy that any who witness it find it impossible not to mimic. Then to go and do it again in the 10,000 m on home turf is remarkable. He had already proved he has the talent to win with his displays in the World Championships, but rarely has someone relished the pressure of the biggest occasion; sensational. Mo Farah deserves all the accolades he is getting and some. If this was a personality contest (which it is, kind of) then he would be the people€™s choice hands down.
