10 Coolest Sunderland Players Of The Premier League Era
5. Lorik Cana
Lorik Cana is a no-nonsense sort of guy. He rolled up to Sunderland at the beginning of the 2009/10 season and was almost instantly made club captain, spent a year terrifying the life out of opposition midfielders, and generally conducted himself like a Spartan war hero. He was last seen wrestling a pitch invader to the ground while on international duty with Albania, and was declared a Kosovan citizen of honour as a result. Coolest Moment: Cana sadly didn't spend enough time with Sunderland to establish a defining moment of cool for himself, but is remembered almost as some sort of mythical being by the Wearside faithful, given his unexpected arrival, immense talent, and sudden departure.
