10 Greatest Quarterbacks Of All Time

10. Drew Brees - San Diego Chargers, New Orleans Saints

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iv8WVzbXEg Number ten on this list could easily have gone to a variety of quarterbacks. Terry Bradshaw was the first quarterback to win four Super Bowls. Troy Aikman led the Cowboys to three Super Bowl victories. Bart Starr won two Super Bowls and five NFL Championships. Instead, the number ten greatest quarterback is Drew Brees, based largely on sheer statistical domination. Brees spent the first four years of his career with San Diego Chargers before signing with the New Orleans Saints. Since joining the Saints he has posted phenomenal numbers, throwing for over 4000 yards in all eight seasons. Brees led the Saints to their first Super Bowl victory in 2009, defeating Peyton Manning and the Colts 31-17. Tying a Super Bowl record with 32 pass completions, Brees was named Super Bowl MVP. One of the most impressive stats of his career are his passing yards. Brees currently sits fifth all time in career passing yards with 51,081. He only needs 394 to pass John Elway for fourth, and, if he can sustain his current production, should easily surpass Dan Marino(61,361 yards) for third all time. Drew Brees holds a large number of NFL records, but there are two in particular that pushed him into the top ten quarterbacks. Only eight times in NFL history has a quarterback thrown for over 5000 yards in a season. Of those eight times, four were Drew Brees. Brees had broken Dan Marino's milestone record for yards in a season, until being surpassed by Peyton Manning in 2013. The other remarkable record Brees holds is the record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass thrown. This record had been held by Johnny Unitas for years. Brees now sits alone with a streak of 54 games.
