8. Alexis Davis
/AP/Press Association ImagesFor her sixteen second loss to Ronda Rousey, Alexis Davis made $24,000. And here is where you wind up in a glass half-empty/glass half-full situation. For most, earning over twenty grand for sixteen seconds of work sounds like a dream come true. Only it's not just sixteen seconds of work. It's months of training. It's gym costs. It's paying coaches and sparring partners. It's paying travel costs in some cases, because as fighters have often discussed, the UFC pays for the fighter and two companions to travel, but many fighters have more than just two people with them (think how many guys are in a fighter's corner, then consider that they might want their wives, girlfriends, or kids with them). Davis isn't doing bad for the level she's at, but she's not doing great either. I'd suggest that, for a title fight, no one should be making less than $50,000.
