10 Lessons Learned From UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Le

1. Michael Bisping Gets A Signature Win

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbZnS3dC6DY Le vs. Bisping was an excellent bout. Le proved to be a game opponent and caught The Count several times with hard shots. Bisping opened up a cut over Le's eye early, but didn't punch himself out; by the third you could see Bisping was hurt as well (he admitted as much in the post-fight interview) and was taking deep breaths, but he pressed forward and showed what a solid volume puncher he is. He took the win in the fourth, using volume to knock Le down, and quickly sealed the deal. In getting the win over Le, he keeps himself relevant in the middleweight division - and what's more gets a signature win over a name opponent. Yes, Le is 42 years old and basically a part-time fighter, but he's a good fighter and he left it all in the cage at UFC Fight Night 48. After the fight Bisping called out Luke Rockhold, who was in attendance, and that is absolutely the fight that the UFC needs to book now. There were talks about Rockhold vs. Machida being booked, but the grudge match between Bisping and Rockhold, years in the making, is the way to go. It easily headlines a Fight Night card, or makes a solid main event on a Pay-per-View.
