10 Lessons Learned From UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Le

10. It Was Tough To Wake Up For This Card

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxqUtrVrOqc There's no way to get around this: with the card starting at 6:30 AM EST (for the preliminary fights), and with very little in the way of notable fighters on the prelims, this was a tough card to wake up for. The UFC continually says that these sorts of cards aren't about fans in North America or anywhere else other than where the event is taking place, but given UFC Fight Pass hasn't quite gone global yet, who else is watching it other than local fans? It's tough to time events, but there's got to be a better option here. If Fight Pass is the way of the future these shows need to be accessible. The event started pretty early in Macau (6:30PM) and there's no reason that couldn't have been pushed back by an hour or two - fans expect a late night when it comes to sporting events (barring some sort of local curfew etc,). At 10 fights, this card was a fight or two shorter than many UFC cards so there's no reason a later start couldn't happen.
